Bass Library
Bass Library is a library located at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. It is part of the university's extensive library system and serves as a central hub for undergraduate study and research. The library is named after Robert Bass, a Yale alumnus and philanthropist, who made significant contributions to the university.

The Bass Library was originally constructed in 1971 and was known as the Cross Campus Library. It underwent a major renovation and expansion in 2007, funded by a generous donation from Robert Bass. The renovation aimed to modernize the facility, improve accessibility, and create a more conducive environment for study and research.
Architecture[edit]
The library is located underground, beneath Cross Campus, a central quadrangle at Yale. The design incorporates natural light through skylights and glass walls, creating an inviting atmosphere despite its subterranean location. The renovation included the addition of new study spaces, group study rooms, and updated technology to support modern academic needs.

Bass Library houses a diverse collection of materials, including books, periodicals, and electronic resources.
