Retroversion (/ˌrɛtrəʊˈvɜːʃən/) is a term used in medicine to describe a state where an organ, such as the uterus or ovary, is tilted backwards. The opposite of retroversion is anteversion.
Etymology
The term "retroversion" is derived from the Latin words "retro" meaning backwards and "versio" meaning turning.
