Harvard University Press (HUP) is a publishing house established on January 13, 1913, as a division of Harvard University. It is one of the oldest and most prestigious academic publishers in the world. Harvard University Press was founded to advance knowledge and disseminate scholarly research. The press's first publication was a volume of the Harvard Studies in Classical Philology.
