The Harvard Crimson is the daily student newspaper of Harvard University. Established in 1873, it is the oldest continuously published daily college newspaper in the United States. The Crimson is run entirely by Harvard College undergraduates and is independent of the university.

History

The Harvard Crimson was founded in 1873 as a fortnightly publication called The Magenta. The name was changed to The Crimson in 1875 to reflect the official color of Harvard University. The newspaper became a daily publication in 1883.

Organization

The Crimson is managed by a board of editors, which includes a president, managing editor, and business manager. The newspaper is divided into several boards, including news, editorial, sports, arts, and business. Each board is responsible for different aspects of the newspaper's production and content.
