Fox Networks Group
Fox Networks Group (FNG) is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company that oversees the production and distribution of television channels and content. It was originally part of 21st Century Fox before Disney acquired the majority of 21st Century Fox's assets in 2019. FNG operates a variety of entertainment, sports, and news channels across the globe.
History
Fox Networks Group was established in 1993 as a division of News Corporation, which was founded by Rupert Murdoch. The group was created to manage the company's television assets, including the Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox Sports, and various cable channels.
In 2013, News Corporation split into two separate companies: 21st Century Fox and News Corp. Fox Networks Group became part of 21st Century Fox, which focused on entertainment and media properties.
In 2019, The Walt Disney Company acquired the majority of 21st Century Fox's assets, including Fox Networks Group. This acquisition expanded Disney's portfolio of television channels and content, integrating FNG into its existing operations.
