The THC Ministry was established in 2000 by Roger Christie, a long-time advocate for the legalization and spiritual use of cannabis. The THC Ministry has faced several legal challenges over the years. In 2010, Roger Christie was arrested and charged with cannabis trafficking. He argued that his activities were protected under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, but was ultimately sentenced to five years in federal prison.
