The THC Ministry, also known as the Hawaii Cannabis Ministry, is a religious organization founded by Roger Christie in 2000. The ministry is based in Hilo, Hawaii, and it advocates for the spiritual use of cannabis as a sacrament.

The THC Ministry was established in 2000 by Roger Christie, a long-time advocate for the legalization and spiritual use of cannabis. Christie, who was ordained as a minister by the Universal Life Church, founded the ministry to provide a legal defense for individuals who use cannabis as part of their religious practice.
Beliefs and Practices[edit]
The ministry believes that cannabis is a sacrament and a gift from God to be used for spiritual and healing purposes. Members of the THC Ministry use cannabis in religious ceremonies and as a tool for personal enlightenment and connection with the divine.
Legal Challenges[edit]
The THC Ministry has faced several legal challenges over the years. In 2010, Roger Christie was arrested and charged with cannabis trafficking. He argued that his activities were protected under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, but was ultimately sentenced to five years in federal prison.
