Thomas Wayne

Role in Batman's Origin[edit]
Thomas Wayne's most significant contribution to the Batman story is his tragic death. One night, after attending a movie, Thomas and Martha Wayne were walking home with their young son, Bruce, when they were confronted by a mugger named Joe Chill. In the ensuing struggle, Thomas and Martha were both shot and killed, leaving Bruce an orphan.
