Cave Divers Association of Australia
Cave Divers Association of Australia (CDAA) is a diving organization that was established in 1973. The CDAA is responsible for the management and conservation of underwater caves in Australia. The organization also provides training and certification for cave diving.
History
The Cave Divers Association of Australia was founded in 1973 by a group of divers who were passionate about the exploration and conservation of Australia's underwater caves. The organization was established in response to the increasing number of accidents and fatalities associated with cave diving. The founders of the CDAA believed that through proper training and certification, the risks associated with cave diving could be significantly reduced.
Training and Certification
The CDAA offers a range of training courses and certification levels for cave divers. These include the Basic Cave Diver course, the Advanced Cave Diver course, and the Cave Diving Instructor course.
