CHI Health (pronounced "chee health") is a non-profit, faith-based health system located in Nebraska and southwest Iowa, United States. It is a part of the larger Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) organization.
Etymology
The name "CHI Health" is an abbreviation of its parent organization, Catholic Health Initiatives. The term "CHI" is derived from the first letters of "Catholic Health Initiatives".
Description
CHI Health operates 14 hospitals, two stand-alone behavioral health facilities, and more than 150 employed physician practice locations in Nebraska and southwestern Iowa. It provides a network of health services including acute care, emergency care, medical education, telehealth, and a broad range of medical specialties.
