The Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society is a research center at Harvard University focused on the study of cyberspace. It was founded in 1998 by Charles Nesson and is affiliated with Harvard Law School. The Berkman Klein Center was established in 1998 as the Berkman Center for Internet & Society. It was named after Jack N. and Lillian R. Berkman, who provided a significant endowment. In 2016, the center was renamed to honor Eric Schmidt and Wendy Schmidt for their contributions.
