Viral encephalitis

Prevention

Prevention of viral encephalitis primarily involves protecting against mosquito and tick bites, which can carry the viruses that cause the condition. This can be done by using insect repellent, wearing long sleeves and pants, and avoiding outdoor activities at dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active. Vaccination is also an important prevention strategy for certain types of viral encephalitis.
