Ripley Hospital is a community health facility located in Sandham Lane, Ripley, Derbyshire, England. It is managed by the Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust.
History[edit]
Ripley Hospital was established in September 1912 as Ripley Cottage Hospital. Its establishment was prompted by the death of a miner who was injured at Pentrich Colliery and could not be transported to Derby in time for treatment. The hospital joined the National Health Service in 1948.
