Mountain Dew Voltage is a flavor variant of the popular carbonated soft drink Mountain Dew. It was first introduced by PepsiCo in 2008 as part of the "DEWmocracy" campaign, where consumers were given the opportunity to vote for new flavors.
History
Mountain Dew Voltage was one of three flavors introduced during the first DEWmocracy campaign. The other two flavors were Mountain Dew Revolution and Mountain Dew Supernova. Voltage was the winning flavor, receiving the highest number of votes from consumers, and was subsequently added to the permanent lineup of Mountain Dew flavors.
