Methandriol Propionate (pronunciation: meh-than-dree-ol pro-pi-o-nate) is a synthetic, orally active anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS) and a derivative of dihydrotestosterone (DHT). It is a propionate ester of methandriol (17α-methyl-5-androstenediol).

Etymology

The term "Methandriol" is derived from the words "methyl", "androstenediol", and "propionate". "Methyl" refers to the presence of a methyl group, "androstenediol" is a naturally occurring steroid hormone, and "propionate" is a type of ester.
