McDonald's New Zealand is a subsidiary of the international fast food chain, McDonald's Corporation. It was first established in the country in 1976 and has since grown to become one of the most popular fast food chains in New Zealand.
History[edit]
The first McDonald's restaurant in New Zealand was opened in Porirua on June 7, 1976. Since then, the company has expanded its operations across the country, with over 170 restaurants currently in operation.
Menu[edit]
The menu at McDonald's New Zealand features a variety of items, including the classic Big Mac, Cheeseburger, and Chicken McNuggets. In addition to these staples, the New Zealand menu also includes unique items such as the Kiwi Burger and Georgie Pie.
Kiwi Burger[edit]
The Kiwi Burger is a unique menu item available only at McDonald's New Zealand. It features a beef patty, beetroot, egg, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard, and ketchup.
Georgie Pie[edit]
Georgie Pie is a brand of meat pies that was acquired by McDonald's New Zealand in 2013. The pies are now sold at select McDonald's locations throughout the country.
