Kingdom of Serbia was a state in Southeast Europe, which existed from 1882 until 1918. It was preceded by the Principality of Serbia and succeeded by the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes, which was later renamed Yugoslavia. History

This new state aimed to unite the South Slavic peoples of the Balkans, but it also inherited the complex ethnic and political challenges of the region.

Government and Politics

The Kingdom of Serbia was a constitutional monarchy, with a constitution that provided for a parliamentary system. The king had significant executive powers, including the right to appoint the prime minister. The National Assembly was a bicameral legislature, consisting of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.
