East Java

East Java (Jawa Timur) is a province located in the eastern part of the island of Java, Indonesia. It is the second most populous province in the country, with a population of over 37.5 million people. The capital of East Java is Surabaya, the second largest city in Indonesia.

Geography

East Java is bordered by the Java Sea to the north, the Indian Ocean to the south, the Bali Strait to the east, and the provinces of Central Java and Yogyakarta to the west.
