Art (pronounced: /ɑːrt/) is a diverse range of human activities involving the creation of visual, auditory, or performance artifacts (artworks), which express the creator's imagination, conceptual ideas, or technical skill, intended to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.
Etymology
The word "art" comes from the Latin "ars", which, although literally defined, means "skill method" or "technique", and conveys a connotation of beauty.
