Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital

Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital is a state-of-the-art healthcare facility located in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. It is the first new hospital to be built in Ontario in over 30 years and the first hospital in the city of Vaughan. The hospital is named after the Cortellucci family, who donated a significant amount to its construction.

The idea for the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital was first proposed in 2007 by the York Region government. The hospital was officially opened on February 7, 2021, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The hospital was initially used as a dedicated resource to support the province's COVID-19 response.

Facilities[edit]

The Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital spans over 1.2 million square feet and includes 342 beds. It features a modern emergency department, surgical services, and advanced diagnostic imaging. The hospital also includes specialized services such as a neonatal intensive care unit, a mental health department, and a women's health department.
