Chicken Tikka Recipe[edit]

Ingredients:

  1. 1 lb boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  2. 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  3. 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  4. 2 tsp red chili powder
  5. 1 tsp cumin powder
  6. 1 tsp coriander powder
  7. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 2 tbsp oil
  10. 1 lemon, juiced
  11. 2 tbsp chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix together yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, salt and lemon juice.
  2. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and toss to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  3. Preheat grill or broiler. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.
  4. Grill or broil the chicken for 10-15 minutes or until cooked through, turning occasionally.
  5. Brush with oil during cooking to prevent sticking and enhance the browning.
  6. Garnish with cilantro and serve with chutney or dipping sauce.
