Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was a National Health Service (NHS) foundation trust that operated several hospitals in the Staffordshire and Derbyshire regions of England. The trust was established in 2008 and was responsible for managing Burton upon Trent's Queen's Hospital, Samuel Johnson Community Hospital in Lichfield, and Sir Robert Peel Hospital in Tamworth.

History

The Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was formed in 2008, following the merger of the South Staffordshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and the Burton Hospitals NHS Trust. The trust was responsible for providing a wide range of health services to the local community, including emergency, surgery, maternity care, and outpatient services.

In 2018, the trust merged with the Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to form the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.
