University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust

The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is a healthcare organization that was created through the merger of the Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in July 2018.

The trust includes several hospitals, such as the Royal Derby Hospital, Queen's Hospital in Burton, the Florence Nightingale Community Hospital in Derby, Sir Robert Peel Community Hospital in Tamworth, and Samuel Johnson Community Hospital in Lichfield.<ref> ,

The trust also established a company called D-Hive in 2016 to undertake commercial projects and generate funds for healthcare services. While it made a profit of £2.5 million over five years, it incurred a loss of £361,679 in 2019 when the Derby Sound music festival was canceled due to poor ticket sales.<ref> ,
