Professional American football team

The Oakland Raiders were a professional American football team based in Oakland, California. The team was established in 1960 and was a member of the American Football League (AFL) before joining the National Football League (NFL) in 1970 as part of the AFL-NFL merger. The Raiders were known for their distinctive silver and black uniforms and their passionate fan base, often referred to as the "Raider Nation."

In 1982, the Raiders moved to Los Angeles, California, becoming the Los Angeles Raiders. The team returned to Oakland in 1995 and remained there until 2019. In 2020, the franchise relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, and became the Las Vegas Raiders.
