Rolipram is a selective phosphodiesterase-4 (PDE4) inhibitor that has been studied for its potential therapeutic effects in various neurological disorders and inflammatory diseases. Rolipram functions by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase-4, which is responsible for the breakdown of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) in cells.
