Well-being (pronounced: /ˈwɛlˈbiːɪŋ/) is a term used to describe the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy. It encompasses various aspects of a person's life, including physical, mental, and social health.

The term "well-being" is derived from the English words "well" and "being". "Well" is an adjective that means in good health, while "being" refers to existence or life. Therefore, "well-being" essentially means "living in a state of good health".
