University of Otago, Wellington (pronunciation: /ˈɒtəɡoʊ/, /ˈwɛlɪŋtən/) is a campus of the University of Otago located in Wellington, New Zealand.
Etymology
The name "Otago" originates from the Māori word "Otakou" which refers to a channel on the eastern side of the Otago Harbour. "Wellington" is named after Arthur Wellesley, the first Duke of Wellington and victor of the Battle of Waterloo.
