Toronto Paramedic Services is the statutory emergency medical services provider for the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is the largest municipal paramedic service in Canada, providing pre-hospital emergency care and transportation to the residents and visitors of Toronto.
History[edit]
Toronto Paramedic Services was established in 1883 as the "Toronto Ambulance Service". Over the years, it has evolved from a basic transport service to a sophisticated emergency medical service provider. In 1998, following the amalgamation of the City of Toronto, the service was rebranded as "Toronto Emergency Medical Services". In 2014, it was renamed "Toronto Paramedic Services" to better reflect the role of paramedics in providing emergency medical care.

Toronto Paramedic Services operates a fleet of ambulances, emergency response units, and specialized vehicles. The service is divided into several operational units, including:
- Emergency Medical Services (EMS): Provides 24/7 emergency response to medical emergencies across Toronto.
