Strada
Strada is a chain of Italian restaurants located in the United Kingdom. The first Strada restaurant was opened in 2000. The chain was founded by Luke Johnson, a British entrepreneur and businessman. Strada restaurants are known for their authentic Italian dishes, including pizza, pasta, and risotto.
History
Strada was founded by Luke Johnson in 2000. Johnson, who is also known for his involvement with PizzaExpress, saw a gap in the market for high-quality, authentic Italian cuisine. The first Strada restaurant was opened in London, and the chain quickly expanded across the UK.
In 2005, Strada was acquired by Tragus Group, a company that also owns other restaurant chains such as Café Rouge and Bella Italia. In 2014, the majority of Strada restaurants were sold to Sun Capital Partners.
Menu
Strada's menu focuses on authentic Italian dishes. The chain is particularly known for its pizzas, which are cooked in a traditional wood-fired oven.
