Seth Rogen

Canadian actor, comedian, writer, producer, and director
Seth Aaron Rogen (born April 15, 1982) is a Canadian actor, comedian, writer, producer, and director. He began his career performing stand-up comedy during his teenage years. Rogen's breakthrough came when he was cast in the Judd Apatow television series Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared.
Early life[edit]
Rogen was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, to a Jewish family. His mother, Sandy, is a social worker, and his father, Mark, worked for non-profit organizations. Rogen attended Point Grey Secondary School, where he began performing stand-up comedy.
Career[edit]
Early work[edit]
Rogen's early career was marked by his work with Judd Apatow. He was cast in the short-lived but critically acclaimed television series Freaks and Geeks (1999–2000) and Undeclared (2001–2002).
Film[edit]
Rogen's film career took off with his role in The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), which was directed by Apatow. He then starred in and co-wrote Superbad (2007) and Pineapple Express (2008). Rogen has since appeared in numerous successful films, including Knocked Up (2007), This Is the End (2013), and The Interview (2014).
Voice acting[edit]
Rogen has also lent his voice to several animated films, such as Kung Fu Panda (2008), Monsters vs. Aliens (2009), and Sausage Party (2016).
Writing and producing[edit]
In addition to acting, Rogen has written and produced many of his films. He co-wrote Superbad, Pineapple Express, and The Green Hornet (2011). He has also produced films like 50/50 (2011) and Neighbors (2014).
Directing[edit]
Rogen made his directorial debut with This Is the End (2013), which he co-directed with Evan Goldberg. The duo also directed The Interview (2014) and The Disaster Artist (2017).
Personal life[edit]
Rogen married Lauren Miller Rogen in 2011. The couple is actively involved in raising awareness for Alzheimer's disease through their organization, Hilarity for Charity.
