Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is a National Health Service (NHS) trust that provides healthcare services for the residents of Cornwall, England. The trust operates three main hospitals: Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro, West Cornwall Hospital in Penzance, and St Michael's Hospital in Hayle.

History

The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust was established in 1991, following the restructuring of the NHS. The trust has undergone several changes since its inception, including the merger with the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Community Health NHS Trust in 2006.

Services

The trust provides a wide range of services, including emergency care, maternity care, paediatric care, and surgical services. It also offers specialist services such as cardiology, neurology, and oncology.

Performance

The trust's performance is regularly assessed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). In its most recent inspection, the CQC rated the trust as 'requires improvement'.
