Rashid Hospital (in Arabic: مستشفى راشد
) is a 786-bed general medical/surgical hospital in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, and is a part of the Dubai Health Authority. Built in 1973, it is the city's second oldest hospital, and is located on the Oud Metha Road adjacent to Dubai Creek.
The hospital's new Trauma Centre, completed in mid-2006, can handle 7 ambulances simultaneously. It is the busiest Trauma Centre in the region, with an average of 3 to 5 cases of severe polytrauma presenting each day. In 2013, the Trauma Centre saw more than 166,000 patients and evaluated between 480 and 550 patients daily. Plans for expansion of the Trauma Centre were announced in 2013, which would add 116 rooms and 160 beds to the facility.
The hospital also includes a medical library.
