Queens Community Board 6
Queens Community Board 6 (also known as QCB6 or CB6) is a local government body in the New York City borough of Queens. It is one of 59 such community boards throughout the city. The board's responsibilities include advising on land use and zoning, participating in the city budget process, and addressing community concerns related to municipal service delivery.
Geography
Queens Community Board 6 encompasses the neighborhoods of Forest Hills and Rego Park. The board's boundaries are roughly defined by the Long Island Expressway to the north, the Grand Central Parkway to the south, the Van Wyck Expressway to the west, and the New York City Subway's IND Queens Boulevard Line to the east.
Demographics
As of the 2010 United States Census, the board's district had a population of approximately 115,000. The district is diverse, with a large number of Russian Americans, Chinese Americans, and Jewish Americans.
Governance
The board is composed of up to 50 volunteer members appointed by the Queens Borough President, half from nominations by New York City Council members representing the community district. The board's district manager oversees the operation of the district office and is the board's primary liaison with various city agencies.

Notable landmarks within the board's jurisdiction include Forest Hills Stadium, Rego Park Center, and the West Side Tennis Club.
