Misandry (pronounced: mi·san·dry | \ mə-ˈsan-drē \) is a term that refers to the hatred, contempt for, or prejudice against men or boys. It is an antonym of Misogyny, which is the hatred, contempt for, or prejudice against women or girls.
Etymology
The term "Misandry" originates from the Greek words misos (μῖσος, "hatred") and anēr, andros (ἀνήρ, gen. ἀνδρός; "man"). It first appeared in English in the 19th century.
