MVT-602 is a synthetic peptide that acts as an agonist of the kisspeptin receptor, also known as the G-protein coupled receptor 54 (GPR54). It is being investigated for its potential use in the treatment of reproductive disorders, particularly those related to hypothalamic dysfunction.
Mechanism of Action
MVT-602 functions by mimicking the action of natural kisspeptins, which are critical regulators of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis. By binding to the kisspeptin receptor, MVT-602 stimulates the release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) from the hypothalamus.
