Leisure (LEE-zhur)

Leisure or leisure time is the time when one is not working or occupied; free time. It is the time spent away from business, work, job hunting, domestic chores, and education, as well as necessary activities such as eating and sleeping.

Etymology

The term 'leisure' is derived from the Old French leisir, which means "permission", from Latin licēre.
