JAMA Surgery

History
JAMA Surgery was established in 1920 under the name Archives of Surgery. It was one of the several specialty journals created by the American Medical Association (AMA) to cover various fields of medicine. In 2013, the journal was renamed JAMA Surgery as part of a rebranding effort to unify the titles of the JAMA Network journals.
