Hospice provides physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support to patients and their families. The primary goal of hospice care is to control pain and other symptoms of illness so patients can feel as comfortable and awake as possible. It's usually given at home, but it can also be given in a hospice center, hospital, or nursing home
