Gouania lupuloides is a species of flowering plant in the family Rhamnaceae. It is commonly known as chewstick or chewstick vine. This plant is native to the tropical regions of the Americas, including the Caribbean, Central America, and parts of South America.

Description

Gouania lupuloides is a climbing vine that can reach up to 10 meters in length. The leaves are simple, alternate, and have a serrated margin. The plant produces small, greenish-white flowers that are arranged in clusters. The fruit is a small, dry capsule that contains several seeds.

Habitat

This species thrives in a variety of habitats, including tropical rainforests, dry forests, and coastal areas. It is often found growing on other vegetation, using its tendrils to climb and support itself.

Uses
