Eric Aboagye
Eric Aboagye is a renowned pharmacologist and biochemist, best known for his significant contributions to the field of cancer research. He is currently a Professor at the Imperial College London, where he leads a team of researchers in the Department of Surgery and Cancer.
Early Life and Education
Eric Aboagye was born and raised in Ghana. He moved to the United Kingdom for his higher education. He completed his undergraduate degree in Pharmacy from the University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He then pursued his PhD in Pharmacology from the University of London.
Career
After completing his PhD, Aboagye undertook postdoctoral training at the Johns Hopkins University, USA. He then returned to the UK and joined the Imperial College London as a faculty member. He has been with the Imperial College London since then, where he has made significant contributions to the field of cancer research.
Aboagye's research primarily focuses on the development of novel imaging techniques and biomarkers for early detection and treatment of cancer. He has published numerous research papers in reputed scientific journals and has been awarded several grants for his research work.
Awards and Recognition
Aboagye has received numerous awards and recognition for his contributions to the field of cancer research. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Academy of Medical Sciences. He was also awarded the prestigious GlaxoSmithKline Research and Development Award for his outstanding research work.
