East China
East China or Eastern China (Chinese: 东部; pinyin: Dōngbù) is a geographical and a loosely defined cultural region that covers the eastern part of China. It is one of the most developed areas in China, with a high population density and rich natural resources.
Geography
East China includes the provinces of Anhui, Fujian, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Shandong, and Zhejiang, as well as the municipality of Shanghai. These provinces are located along the eastern coast of China, stretching from the northeastern province of Shandong to the southeastern province of Fujian. The region is known for its diverse landscapes, which include mountains, plains, and coastal areas.
History
The history of East China is closely tied to the history of China itself.
