== DC Universe ==

The DC Universe (DCU) is the fictional shared universe where most stories in American comic book titles published by DC Comics take place. Superheroes such as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are from this universe, as well as teams such as the Justice League, the Suicide Squad, and the Teen Titans.

History

The DC Universe was first introduced in the 1930s with the debut of Superman in Action Comics #1. This was followed by the introduction of other iconic characters such as Batman in Detective Comics #27 and Wonder Woman in All Star Comics #8. Over the decades, the DC Universe has expanded to include a vast array of characters, locations, and storylines.

Major Characters

• Superman: Also known as Clark Kent and Kal-El, Superman is an alien from the planet Krypton who possesses superhuman abilities.
• Batman: The alter ego of Bruce Wayne, Batman is a vigilante who fights crime in Gotham City.
