Bland Diet

Bland diet (pronunciation: /blænd daɪət/) is a type of diet that includes foods that are soft, not very spicy, and low in fiber. This diet is often recommended for people with certain health conditions, such as peptic ulcer disease, dyspepsia, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and pancreatitis.

Etymology

The term "bland" comes from the Latin word "blandus", which means "mild" or "soothing". The term "diet" comes from the Greek word "diaita", which means "way of life" or "regimen".
