Acta Neuropathologica

Acta Neuropathologica (pronounced: ak-ta neuro-path-ologica) is a peer-reviewed medical journal that focuses on the pathology and mechanisms of neurological disease.

Etymology

The term "Acta Neuropathologica" is derived from Latin and Greek roots. "Acta" is a Latin word meaning "acts" or "proceedings," while "Neuropathologica" is a combination of the Greek words "neuron" (nerve), "pathos" (disease), and "logos" (study). Thus, the term can be roughly translated as "proceedings in the study of nerve diseases."
