Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital (MGM Hospital) is a public hospital located in Warangal, Telangana, India. It is one of the largest government hospitals in the state, providing healthcare services to the people of Warangal and nearby districts.

History[edit]

The hospital was established in the year 1955. It was named after Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, to honor his contributions to the country. Over the years, the hospital has grown in size and stature, becoming a major healthcare provider in the region.

Facilities[edit]

MGM Hospital offers a wide range of medical services. It has departments for General Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Psychiatry, and Radiology. The hospital also has a well-equipped Emergency Department that operates round the clock.

Infrastructure[edit]

The hospital has a capacity of over 1000 beds, making it one of the largest hospitals in the state. It also has modern diagnostic facilities, including CT scan, MRI, and Ultrasound. The hospital has a well-equipped Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Training and Research[edit]

MGM Hospital is also a teaching hospital associated with Kakatiya Medical College. It provides training to medical students and conducts research in various fields of medicine.
