Rohto Pharmaceutical
Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Japanese: ロート製薬株式会社, Rōto Seiyaku Kabushiki-gaisha) is a multinational pharmaceutical company based in Osaka, Japan. It was established in 1899 and is known for its production of over-the-counter drugs and health care products.

Rohto Pharmaceutical was founded in 1899 in Osaka, Japan, by Yasutomi Kinoshita. The company initially started as a small family drugstore, named Shintendo, which specialized in the sale of pharmaceutical drugs. In 1909, the company introduced its first original product, Rohto Eye Drops, which became a best-seller and remains popular to this day.
