AHIP (America's Health Insurance Plans) is a national trade association representing the health insurance industry in the United States. AHIP was formed in 2003 through the merger of the Health Insurance Association of America (HIAA) and the American Association of Health Plans (AAHP). The merger was intended to create a unified voice for the health insurance industry in the United States.
