Artery of bulb of penis is a blood vessel that supplies the bulb of the penis. The bulb of the penis is the expanded posterior part of the spongy urethra, and is located in the deep perineal pouch. The artery of bulb of penis is a branch of the internal pudendal artery, which is a branch of the internal iliac artery.

The term "artery" comes from the Greek word "ἀρτηρία" (artēría), which means "windpipe, artery". The word "bulb" comes from the Latin word "bulbus", which means "bulb, onion". The term "penis" comes from the Latin word "penis", which means "tail, penis".

Anatomy[edit]

The artery of bulb of penis arises from the internal pudendal artery, which is a branch of the internal iliac artery. It travels through the perineum and enters the deep perineal pouch, where it supplies the bulb of the penis.

The bulb of the penis is the expanded posterior part of the spongy urethra. It is located in the deep perineal pouch, which is a space in the perineum that is bounded by the perineal membrane and the fascia of the pelvic diaphragm.

The main function of the artery of bulb of penis is to supply blood to the bulb of the penis. The bulb of the penis is a part of the male reproductive system and plays a role in sexual function.
