The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) is a public research university located in El Paso, Texas. It is part of the University of Texas System and offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. History

UTEP was founded in 1914 as the Texas State School of Mines and Metallurgy.
