The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio) is a public academic health science center in San Antonio, Texas. It is part of the University of Texas System and is one of the leading health science universities in the United States.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio was established in 1959. It was created to address the need for a medical school in South Texas. The institution has grown significantly since its inception, expanding its programs and facilities to include a wide range of health-related disciplines.
